Mount Connection

Tuesday 1 October 2019

The main thrust of the day was to clear the remaining section of thick vegetation overgrowing the track on the western side of Mount Connection.  But there was also  a few spots at the eastern end where the wire on the boardwalk had lifted  and needed repair.

One vehicle was taken to that end and we took the opportunity of clearing the first 100 metres of the Tom Thumb track.  From the eastern end of Mount Connection a party of two walked through to repair the wire with staples and remove any overgrowth needing attention, including  sawing through a tree that had fallen over the track. The remaining party  cleared the vegetation needing work on the other side.
Lunch location on a calm sunny day high on Mount Connection.
