Two is Better Than One
Devils Throne
Tuesday 5 November 2019
Well it is said 2 is better than 1 and that was certainly the case on this day. Quite a decent length of track got cleared and the distance was made more impressive, because we reached some flat rocky areas that didn't need any work.

On reaching a section of low scrub we decided to move on to end of the track at Devils Throne, where the scrub was dense again. Some got cleared before it was knockoff time, plus a fallen tree blocking access was removed. This only leaves about 50-80 metres of thick stuff to go.
We returned on the southern route to Thark Ridge, thus making a circuit. This rough track seems to be getting ample use, although there are a few sections of thick vegetation.
For the day about 170m of clearing plus 20 metres at Devils Throne end was achieved. The next session will be more of a bushwalk with a bit of track clearing thrown in.
Oh, and the weather was really good, quite cool to start, sunny for most of the day, no annoying insect at all and the delightful sound of Crescent Honeyeaters all day. And we saw a Flame Robin.
