There At Last

 Thark Ridge

Tuesday 1 February 2022

After having the past three months attempts to do some maintenance on Thark Ridge we finally got a fine day, although it was hotter than desired. The morning was spent hardening an early section that crossed a flat area and became muddy when the soil was wet. Today it was dry and that hid what it was like when wet, but the worn earth was obvious. Nearby suitable rocks were located relatively easily.

Morning break was among some small snow gums that gave a little dappled shade, but March flies were plentiful.

After finishing the section we moved on further along the track to  a short area that needed a few rocks added.
