Working at Inglewood in rain, hail and shine

1 November 2022

Five Friends of Wellington Park volunteers and a Bushcare team leader spent several hours weeding around the edge of Wellington Park just north of Inglewood Road.

Both the weeds and the weather were varied. Although we spent most of our time removing stinking iris and foxgloves, we also tackled forget-me-nots, and the odd blackberry, gorse and sweet pittosporum. The weather was fine for most of the working bee, but a couple of showers of rain and hail fell in the late morning and early afternoon.
