 Thark Ridge to Devils Throne Link Track

 Finally, a day of good weather and with enough helping we were able to complete the clearing of vegetation on the new track to link the Thark Ridge Track to the Devils Throne Track.

This last section of 174 metres was kept high on solid rocky ground wherever possible. We worked from the bottom up to a junction with Thark Ridge, and the initial section wound up to a point where boulders forced us to move onto softer ground which required some rocks to be added. Then closer to the end it was over ground with very low vegetation, and this will need some marker posts to help define the way for walkers.

Part of the track, that was cleared on our first day, was given some additional trimming that has made a big improvement.

In four sessions we cleared the 703 metres to make a track that is now on harder ground than the original track and avoids the unsafe crossing of large boulders that were present on the former track.
