Spectacular Weeding Expedition

Glen Dhu

Tuesday 10 May 2022

The aim was to remove the Erica at the lowest site on the old Glen Dhu fire trail, and we went in from Nicholls Road as that was the shortest walk, being 2.4k and took almost 55 minutes. All the Erica was removed in approximately one hour.

It was a sunny day, but all the trees made for plenty of shade, so we decided to stop for lunch part way back out on the edge of the escarpment. This was a most attractive location above quite high cliffs and with very good views over to Yellow Cliffs and down the Glen Dhu Rivulet valley. After reaching the car, we then walked down the steep slope to Floras Falls. There was a good flow of water making it a spectacular sight.
