Inglewood

Ten volunteers joined City of Hobart Bushcare Team Leader Sonya Stallbaum on a beautiful spring day to weed on the edge of Wellington Park near Inglewood Road in South Hobart.
We spent a lot of time weeding some dense infestations of forget-me-not along the gully parallel to the road, then moved on to deal with stinking iris, foxgloves and snowdrops nearby. We also managed to weed a few gorse plants in the area, but their paucity was a far cry from the huge numbers that Friends of Wellington Park weeded in the area over decades gone by.
