Kalang RDA

This was joint effort with City of Hobart and Glenorchy City bushcare at the site of the Riding for Disabled centre in Kalang Avenue. The land is owned by the City of Hobart but lies within the Glenorchy local government area.

The council staff arranged a special morning tea and a Yoav Bar-Ness of Giant Tree Expeditions  as guest speaker who talked about the value of huge trees various ways to think about them and the understory.

A large group of volunteers arrived, numbering about 25, to help and we dispersed into two groups, mostly tackling Spanish heath.
