Red hot pokers, boneseed cotoneaster and spanish heath were removed, although the larger of the cotoneasters was drilled and poisoned as it was the easiest way of killing it. The valley with the spanish heath was thickly vegetated with a variety of natives requiring a search and destroy operation.
