Montrose Boneseed

Initially Boneseed was tackled in a steep gully at the end of the known problem area where a number of plants were found, plus a few Spanish Heath. This included one location with several large Boneseed not previously noticed. Finally a line search was made along the slope, moving in a northerly direction towards the park boundary. The higher area on the slope was difficult to negotiate as it contained both a lot of young Casuarina and heaps of old fallen trees probably all following a fire. On the lower part of the slope however quite a number of sizable Boneseed were removed, all having grown in recent years.
