Thark Montagu Track
Thursday 18 April 2023
Last
February when we previously worked on clearing vegetation, primarily Bauera,
From the track connecting to Thark Ridge the soil was dry. On this second visit this had changed with
significant volumes of water lying in hollows and ruts in the track. There were
not as many helping with only one PWS staff and vehicle available. A shade over 200 metres were cut back, leaving
about 600 metres of varying vegetation encroachment, some of which is lower
growing vegetation not needing as much work.
